Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Primate Tracking in Kalinzu & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park

Your safari begins with a transfer to the lush Kalinzu Forest Reserve.

Travel Note: This drive takes approximately 6 hours. To ensure comfort, we include a scenic stop-over for lunch before heading into the forest. In Kalinzu, you will enjoy a guided walk to track chimpanzees and other primates like the Blue and Red-tailed monkeys. Afterward, continue to the Mweya Peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 2: Savannah Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start your day with a 6:30 am game drive to catch predators like leopards and lions as they finish their night hunts. The Kasenyi plains are also home to massive herds of elephants and Uganda Kobs.

In the afternoon, embark on a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. This 32km waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and boasts the highest concentration of hippos in the world.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi via Scenic Highlands

Travel Note: This 5-hour journey takes you through the Switzerland of Africa, characterized by bamboo forests and steep, terraced hillsides. As you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Virunga Volcanoes in the distance.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in the Bwindi Jungle

In the afternoon, enjoy a community village walk to learn about the traditional lifestyles of the people living around the park.

Travel Note: This is an 8–9 hour journey. We include a mandatory stop-over at the Uganda Equator for the iconic two hemispheres photo opportunity, coffee, and souvenir shopping. Your guide will ensure you reach Entebbe Airport or your hotel by early evening.
