Days 1–4: Central Wetlands & The Nile

Begin with birding at the Entebbe Botanical Gardens followed by a boat trip to Mabamba Swamp to find the elusive Shoebill. Head east to Mabira Forest for canopy birding before arriving at the Source of the Nile in Jinja for white-water rafting.

Days 5–7: Eastern Peaks & The Last Plains of Pian-Upe

Drive to Mbale to hike the stunning Sipi Falls. Spend a full day birding on the slopes of Mount Elgon. Proceed to Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve, home to Uganda’s last population of Roan Antelope and the majestic Ostrich.

 

Days 8–10: Karamoja Culture & Kidepo Valley

Journey into the rugged north. Meet the Karamajong people in Kotido for an authentic cultural exchange. Enter Kidepo Valley National Park for game drives featuring Cheetahs, Lions, and massive Buffalo herds. Stop at Lake Bisina specifically to find the endemic Fox’s Weaver.

Days 18–19: Craters, Caves & Queen Elizabeth Park

Visit the Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru Caves and Tooro Kingdom Palace. Transition to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, offering the highest concentration of hippos and water birds in the world.
