Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi & Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be met by your safari guide. You’ll leave the bustle of Nairobi behind for a scenic drive into the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the Masai Mara in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive to witness herds of elephants and lions against the golden savannah sunset.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara: The Heart of the Migration

Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Mara plains. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration crossing the Mara River.

Activity Note: You have the option to start the day with a Hot Air Balloon Safari at dawn, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai Boma to learn about the warrior culture and ancient customs of the Maasai people.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Flight to Uganda

Enjoy one final sunrise game drive in Kenya before driving back to Nairobi. You will board a late afternoon flight to Entebbe, Uganda. Upon landing at the shores of Lake Victoria, our Ugandan team will transfer you to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Scenic Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, begin your journey to Southwestern Uganda.

Travel Note: This drive takes approximately 8–9 hours. To ensure your comfort, we include a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photos and a water experiment, followed by a leisurely lunch in Igongo, Mbarara. The drive offers stunning views of the terraced Kigezi hills as you ascend into the misty gorilla highlands.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

This is the pinnacle of your journey. After a safety briefing, enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to track a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you will spend a magical hour observing them.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa Cultural Village to meet the Keepers of the Forest. Learn about their ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyle, traditional medicine, and vibrant dance.

Day 6: Departure via the Equator

Bid farewell to the forest and begin your drive back to Entebbe. We will stop for lunch and a final chance for souvenir shopping at the Equator. You will arrive at Entebbe Airport in time for your evening departure flight.
