This 7-day Small Group Adventure Holiday is the ultimate Ugandan circuit, designed for those who crave a blend of high-octane adrenaline and serene wildlife encounters. Your journey begins in Jinja, East Africa’s adventure capital, where you will conquer the Grade V rapids of the River Nile.
The adventure then shifts to the vast savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park for classic game viewing and a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. The grand finale takes you deep into the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a life-changing encounter with the endangered Mountain Gorillas. This trip is intricately crafted to showcase Uganda’s diverse landscapes, from the roar of the falls to the silent mist of the jungle.

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be met by our professional safari guide and transferred to Uganda’s vibrant capital, Kampala, for a briefing and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Adrenaline in Jinja (Source of the Nile)
Drive east to Jinja, the historic source of the world’s longest river. Today is dedicated to White Water Rafting on the Nile. For the non-rafters, optional activities like bungee jumping, quad biking, or horseback riding are available. Return to Kampala in the evening.

Day 3: Journey to the Mountains of the Moon
Depart Kampala for a 5-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Travel Note: We stop for a leisurely lunch in the lush town of Fort Portal, known for its tea plantations and views of the Rwenzori Mountains (the Mountains of the Moon). This break ensures you arrive at the park refreshed and ready for the evening’s wilderness sounds.

Day 4: Savannah Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise
Start with a 6:30 AM game drive to catch predators like lions and leopards while they are still active. In the afternoon, enjoy a 3-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. This is a highlight for many, as you drift past bathing elephants, crocodiles, and thousands of hippos.

Day 5: Transfer to the Gorilla Highlands
Drive south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey takes you through the Kigezi Highlands, often called the Switzerland of Africa due to its terraced hills and cool climate.
Travel Note: This 5–6 hour drive is incredibly scenic, passing through bamboo forests with distant views of the Virunga Volcanoes. We include several stretch stops and a local lunch along the way.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking – The Ultimate Encounter
After an early briefing, enter the sanctuary of the Mountain Gorillas. Your trek can last between 2 and 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you will spend one hour observing these magnificent primates. In the evening, visit the local Batwa community for a cultural immersion.

Day 7: The Equator & Departure
Begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala.
Travel Note: This is an 8–9 hour journey. We break the drive with a significant stop at the Equator Line in Kayabwe for a water demonstration and souvenir shopping. You will be transferred to the airport for any flight departing after midnight.
