Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via the Equator
Your guide will pick you up at 8:00 AM for the journey southwest. Your first stop is the Uganda Equator for photography and snacks. Continue to Mbarara for a cultural detour at Igongo Cultural Village, home to a rich museum of Ankole heritage.

Day 2: The Gorilla Trekking Experience & Community Walk
After an early briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) rangers, enter the jungle in search of the shy mountain gorillas. The trek can last 2 to 6 hours, leading to a magical hour spent in their presence.
In the afternoon, enjoy the Buhoma Village Walk. This direct-impact community experience introduces you to local traditions, traditional healers, and brewing techniques, providing a deeper connection to the people of Bwindi.
