Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo via the Equator
Your guide will pick you up from Kampala for a scenic drive southwest. Your first stop is the Uganda Equator line in Kayabwe, where you can enjoy snacks, photography, and witness the Coriolis effect in action.
The journey continues to Igongo Cultural Centre for an immersive traditional lunch. Upon entering the park gates, you will enjoy an on-the-way game drive, spotting herds of Zebra and Impala before checking into your lodge for a sunset over the park.
Travel Note: The drive is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours (228km). We break the journey at the Equator and Igongo to ensure you arrive refreshed and ready for your first wildlife encounter.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Return to Kampala
Rise early for a morning game drive when the predators are most active. You’ll track Elands, Buffaloes, and Topis across the acacia-dotted plains.
Following the drive, embark on a 2-hour boat trip on Lake Mburo. This is the best way to see schools of Hippos and massive Nile Crocodiles up close, alongside vibrant birdlife, including the African Fish Eagle and various Pelicans. After the cruise, you will begin your return journey to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon.
