Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be met by your Primate World Safaris guide. You will immediately begin your journey towards the Great Rift Valley.
Travel Note: The drive to Lake Nakuru takes approximately 3 hours. We include a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, allowing you to stretch your legs and capture panoramic photos of the escarpment before descending toward the park.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive: Rhino Tracking & The Pink Horizon
Spend a full day exploring the unique ecosystem of Lake Nakuru. This park is a premier sanctuary for both Black and White Rhinos. Your guide will lead you through the acacia woodlands and lakeside marshes to track these prehistoric giants.
As a birding paradise, the lake’s shores are often blanketed in a pink pulse of thousands of flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Baboon Cliff, offering a bird’s-eye view of the entire lake and the surrounding wildlife.

Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve: Evening Game Drive
After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Masai Mara.
Travel Note: This journey takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours. To ensure your comfort, we include a stopover in Narok Town, the cultural heart of the Maasai land, for a stretch and a chance to experience local artisanal crafts.
Arrive in time for lunch at your luxury tented camp. In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Mara, where the vast sky meets endless plains teeming with predators.

Day 4: Full-Day in the Mara: The Big Five & Great Migration
Today is dedicated to the ultimate safari experience. With a packed picnic lunch, you will head deep into the reserve toward the Mara River.
Between July and October, this area becomes the stage for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Your guide will share expert insights into the complex social behaviors of the resident lion prides and the elusive leopards often found draped over sausage tree branches. You may also choose to visit a traditional Maasai Village (optional) to learn about the ancient customs of these noble warriors.

Day 5: Final Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
