The odyssey then ascends into the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will stand face-to-face with the world’s most magnificent primates, the endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park: Evening Game Drive

Your professional guide will pick you up from Entebbe for a 3-4 hour drive into the heart of the whispering grasslands. Lake Mburo is unique for being the only park in southern Uganda that hosts large populations of Zebra and Eland.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge and soak in the natural ambiance. In the evening, head out for a game drive as the sun dips below the horizon. The park takes on a magical glow, offering chances to spot leopards, buffalo, and nocturnal species beginning their nightly rituals.

Day 2: Walking Safari & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo

Experience the wild on its own terms with a morning walking safari. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you will track animal footprints and observe giraffes and zebras without the barrier of a vehicle, an intimate way to connect with the ecosystem.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo. This serene cruise provides front-row seats to hippos, crocodiles, and an array of waterbirds like the African Fish Eagle and the rare African Finfoot.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Forest: Cultural Encounter with the Batwa

Travel Note: This transition involves a 5-hour drive. To ensure your comfort, we include a scenic stopover for lunch and photography in Kabale or Mbarara, breaking the journey as you ascend into the mist-covered Bwindi Forest.

In the evening, engage in a community walk with the Batwa people, the original inhabitants of the forest. This cultural exchange provides profound insights into their traditional music, dance, and ancient forest survival skills.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Return to Entebbe

Today is the ultimate highlight: Gorilla Trekking. After a briefing on forest etiquette, you will enter the dense jungle to find a habituated gorilla family. The trek may be challenging, but the reward of spending one hour observing a Silverback and his family is a memory that lasts a lifetime.

Following the trek, begin your return journey to Entebbe.
