Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal

Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. You will head west through the lush tea-growing region of Mubende.

Travel Note: This is a 6–7 hour journey (approx. 410km). To ensure your comfort, we include a leisurely stop-over in Fort Portal town for lunch. This cozy town, sitting in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains, is the perfect place to stretch your legs before entering the park. Depending on your arrival time, we may enjoy an evening game drive as we enter the park.

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury) / Kasenyi Safari Camp (Comfort)

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Rise with the sun for a 6:30 AM game drive on the Kasenyi Plains. This is the best time to witness the lions on a hunt and catch the elusive leopard before it retreats into the thickets.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a 2-hour boat launch along the 40km Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake George and Lake Edward and is a magnet for wildlife. You will see more hippos than you can imagine, along with Nile crocodiles, herds of buffalo, and a kaleidoscope of over 600 bird species.

Day 3: Explosion Craters & Return to Kampala

After breakfast, enjoy a final scenic drive through the spectacular volcanic explosion craters, some of the highest points in the park offering breathtaking vistas.

Travel Note: The return journey to Kampala/Entebbe takes roughly 7 hours. We include a stop-over at the Equator crossing at Kayabwe for lunch and souvenir shopping. You will arrive in the late evening, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
